From Struggle to Sanctuary:

Our Vision

We envision a weekend of peace, love, and unity at a country retreat about 20 miles north of the DFW area. To us, our journey from struggle to sanctuary has been guided by grace and fueled by faith. It is so much more to us than a wedding celebration, It is a time for a celebration of faith and of family.

Throughout the weekend, we will come together as one family to reflect on the blessings that have brought us to this moment. Each event is thoughtfully planned to honor the bond we share and the love that unites us:

Friday March 14th 2025

Guests can arrive anytime between noon and 8 PM. Please check in and get your room keys at the outdoor kitchen.

Note: Please participate in our Potluck by bringing a dish to share and any beverages of your choice.

There will be a family prayer at sunset (approximately 7:40- 8:00 pm.) Everyone is invited to join us at the outdoor kitchen

The potluck dinner will be at 6:30pm. Alcohol is allowed on the premises

Activities:

• Swimming: The pool will be open for use.
• Boating or water tubing: Kayaks, pedal boats, water tubes, and paddleboards are available.
• Outdoor Games: Bring your favorite board games or enjoy the many ones available on the premises.
• Relaxation: Unwind at one of the three firepits, in the hot tub, on the bridge, or under the gazebo.
• Become the DJ: Speakers will be set up at the outdoor stage the gazebo. Play your favorite music as we relax and get settled.

Saturday March 15th (continued)

Itinerary and Activities:

• Approximately 3:30 to 5:00 pm: Pictures and time to change. Dress code can be more relaxed but still be presentable for pictures.
• 5:00 pm: Please make your way to the Event Center for a cultural dance presentation.
• 6:00 pm: Dinner and celebration. It will be a catered traditional Texas BBQ
• Celebration Time: There will be no curfew and the celebration will be multi-cultural.

Sunday March 16th (continued)

Itinerary and Activities:

• 5:00 pm: Traditional Congolese dinner at the Event Center
• Remainder of the evening: Feel free to use the entire ranch. Music will be at the stage, take a dip at the pool, water tubing or boating on the lake, enjoy a nature hike, or relax at any of the firepits.
